Speaking of guns...One of the things that surprised me moving here was how many people hunt. I figured there would be some of that but almost everyone (including women and kids) hunt. The businesses in town (including our golf course) just about shut down overnight when the season opened. People actually save up 2-3 weeks of vacation time to use for it.

Don't think either of us will ever get to that point but fishing might be fun (and quieter).

You are out there where there are some huge animals to hunt! I hunt. I prefer archery (much because its warmer for archery season, I'm a wuss in the snow). Have only gotten to go once this season so far. But I tell you, there is no quiet like being alone in the woods!

lots of game up that way for sure......

I wonder too, if maybe there is lots and lots of public land for hunting?
