Maybe. Wall to wall got popular and many hardwood floors were covered over. On the plus side, when the nasty old carpet gets pulled up the hardwood floor underneath is usually in good shapeDo you suppose they'll groan over white kitchens and hardwood floors?

No wall to wall in my house, hardwood everywhere but the bathrooms, mudroom and laundry room. Have a few "throw rugs" in the bedroom.
