The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

Afternoon everyone. :frow Did anybody else have trouble with Verizon yesterday? It was out here, so I couldn't make or receive phone calls all day. My vet couldn't call me, so she stopped by my house...to tell me I have to quarantine my chickens until further notice. A farm near me tested positive for the bird flu, and I'm right in the middle of the quarantine area set up by the state.
😖
I had issues yesterday.
Morning Bruce :frow My dad was the middle child and has a sister much older than he was and a younger brother much younger (both of them are still living). I guess my grandparents believed children should be well spaced out in ages.:)
My youngest brother is 10 years younger and oldest was 10 years older then me. 20 years from youngest to oldest.

I have trouble with Verizon everyday.
I'm sorry that you are in the quarantine area! I hope all goes ok for you and your flock. I suspect it is headed our way too. I've been letting mine out for an hour to two hours a day. I'm hoping for the best, for us all.

After a big dispute with Verizon about 9 years ago, that's a cuss word in our house (so no, we don't have them).

Chrissy, that's scary about your flock having to be quarantined! Keeping fingers crossed your's will be ok. Keep us posted. :fl

It makes me a little nervous because they aren't too far from me.

So far, my flock are all happy and healthy. Hopefully it stays that way. The farm that tested positive is having to euthanize their entire 60,000 birds. 😟
What do they do with the birds they kill? I would think they should be cremated but I don't know for sure. Every animal I trap or find dead anymore I burn in a superhot fire. I now have birds trying to nest under the eaves on my hen house. :th
