The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

I'm hoping since he will be a house cat that it will be longer then that. He's not going back out. He's only 2 months so maybe he will have a fighting chance since we got him to the vet.

All my cats are once feral kittens. That statistic is to show how important vet care is. I'm sure cars, dogs, wild predators, infection, and other things of the like, are all factors in the high death rate.

I took my kitten to the vet this morning for baby shots. Turns out she is a he so a boy name was a good choice. He had a nasty case of ear mites and worms...poor guy has to go back in a month for more shots and to check his ears again. He kind of resembled Yoda or Gizmo off Gremlins when they were done with him. He would have been in pretty tough shape I think if we hadn't found him.

I'm gonna call him Lucky even if you don't...that's one lucky kitten to have found you:)
Are you gonna get him neutered?

@Blooie Hi, glad you're back.

   Hi, glad you're back.

Thanks Sunflour

Yes he will be neutered. I'm not thrilled he's a boy but that's the card we were dealt. My husband and son both said it was a girl....hmmm! He's so much happier tonight then he was this morning.

Good morning!

I was awol most of yesterday, need to go back and read up on what you all were up to!

Looks like lots of rain, cat talk and Blooie's back...pretty good day I'd say!

Our new little guy had his 1st vet check yesterday. Got his 1st round of kitten shots and is doing well. The other 2 (Pip & Bam) are put out with having the little guy in the house but I think they'll come around.

Snow showers here off & on but not much in the way of accumulation. Oh, and tomorrow some guys are supposed to come replace our house windows. Figures...the windows have been on order since June so let's wait to put them in until December and temps are in the low 20's, lol.

Good morning, Debby et al,

That, for sure, is great timing to replace your windows. Better hope its not raining or snowing on the windward sides! Do you think if they break any glass, you'll have to wait another 5 months for a replacement?

Hey Chris! Boy, I hope not. My main concern was they would remove the old windows in time to quit for the day then a snow storm prevent them from coming back to put the new ones in. Great, now I have to add "breaking glass" to my list of things to wonder about!
