The hair is a lot but it just goes with the territory. Mine are indoors only.

Mine were in the house about 4.5 years. Opie was shedding so bad and he’s still sheds in chunks. I can’t believe he has any fur left. Sassy the Siamese was shredding my bed frame. I had scratching posts in 3 spots…he preferred leather apparently.

Pip is the shredder in this house. She refuses to use a scratching post and prefers to use the sofa. She's an ornery girl (about everything)!

I had a loveseat in the basement that Opie shredded. They now enjoy it in the chicken coop.
