It's a chilly, very windy day here so far. The temp is 18* and with the wind feels like 1*. That doesn't even sound like a legit temperature, lol...1. There was a sign above the highway yesterday warning travelers that today from 3am-3pm there would be wind gusts of 60+ miles per hour. Made me glad I got my running around done yesterday.

Ha! See, and nobody believes me when I tell that we get that a lot here!!

Glad you're enjoying the mince pie. Since I can't make that, I think I'm going to try making a chocolate bundt cake with a macaroon filling today. DH's two faves...chocolate & coconut!

Sort of like fruit cake in a jar minus the candied cherries.

Awesome! Did the parents by any chance name him Jack (as in Jack Frost)? Actually, I used to know a guy named that years ago...poor guy had to hear a lot of stuff every winter.

Ok, didn't get to the cake, had to make dinner instead. Braised short ribs for dinner tonight baby! Oh yeah
