It's been pouring all. We show 50 to 75% rain and storms all through the weekend and next week. The kids will probably not come this weekend. (Which is fine. I hate them driving in the rain.)

IM, at this point, I think Igor will retain his name. His comb and wattles are pretty red, for a 12 to 13 week old. Sister, fleur, who is sitting beside him, did not get the naked neck, but is still very pretty. I have another in the brooder with my bantams, who didn't get the naked neck either. Hoping for a sister.

I'm visualizing you in a sitcom... as a grump customer service angel, turned guardian angel. Your mission: IM, who dies in a freak accident with a garbage truck She ends up at your desk and hits a "do not touch" button. She returns to earth, as an auditor for the IRS.

Grocery stores on Fridays before holidays are always a bad idea!

Pretty birds! I’m glad you’re getting rain. We need it bad again. I watered the peppers today. The tomatoes need it too. I’ll have to water in the morning. It’s too hot now.

Thank you! They are quite colorful. Their yellow legs look almost neon, they're so bright.
