I wish that would work! But my kids (and me) start getting wound up by February/March. Wait...I graduated from High School and University, so did my girls.
Bathroom? No. But DD1's cat took to going behind the dryer and crawling into the drawer under it from the back. Big surprise the first time he popped out when it was opened.
Very practical family Chrissy!
At the beginning of the year the kids should be told school will end 1 week after is actually does. Keep that on the calendar they might see. Then they won't get all wound up and uneducable the last week. Come the REAL last Thursday you tell them "tomorrow is the last day of school this year".
A couple of problems with that I guess. First ALL the parents have to agree to lie to their kids all year. Second, kids are pretty smart, probably wouldn't work more than 1 or 2 years.
It actually starts in November
