The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

Good morning all. I’m on my first cup of coffee this morning. A skunk got into Hattie’s food in the garage last night and she was not ok with that and all he!! broke loose. Of course I opened all my windows in the house yesterday. It’s hard to sleep when you can’t get the smell out of your nose. The offending creature might still be in the garage. :th

Good morning DMC. Oh yuck! I have no idea how to get that stink out. Hopefully it’s not too hot and muggy for you guys.

I looked, if you know where the odor is coming from you can get cleaners. Also peroxide, baking soda, bleach and other household stuff is supposed to help.

I hope not!
When I worked at the state mental health facility, we often had to make walking rounds from building to building. The skunks were prolific. One of my coworkers got sprayed and it made her so sick. Her husband had to come pick her up and drive her home in the bed of his truck. She stripped down and wore a blanket home. They smell bad from afar, but they are sickening up close.

Hi IM! The garage reeks but the house seems to be ok now. Maybe I’m getting used to it:sickI turned the air back on as it’s going to heat up again. I backed my car out of the garage. The new mud room we had put in is open underneath and that bugger ran under it. It may still be hiding under the step part of it.

I’m waiting for the day I get sprayed. We haven’t had a skunk here since before our storms last spring. I think they blew into the next county or died.
