The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

I loved  "An Officer and a Gentleman," How romantic when he sweeps her up in his arms and carries her away  :love   and never could forget  "Don't you eyeball me boy!"

ps never did believe the gerbil stories

Very high on my favorite movies list. Top 3, for sure.

Good morning folks :frow

Blooie good to hear that the family made it home safe.

Just catching up [again] and this pretty much sums it up :lau  :lau  :lau

After wiping the spluttered coffee off my screens; sure, sure make fun of the Aussies while we are sleeping .. No Sun for YOU!!! :lau   … No one mentioned Drop Bears! ;)

I enjoyed the mayo discussion .. we do not really use a lot of it and I do not think we have ever finished one .. there are probably a couple in the back of the fridge way past their expiry date

Had to Google 'Hoagie' ;)   [Translator]

Uuumm, right now .. not thinking about killing anyone but I was at 3AM when I was up listening to irresponsible cat owners fur babies fighting under our car and then next to the coop.  Last time there was a cat fight next to the coop I lost one of my gals .. I went out in the morning to check and she was dead on the floor.  Now, I have no proof, but she was fine the night before when she went to bed ..  cat fight .. she is dead .. I believe it could have been fright.

So, at 3AM I am outside with the torch to 1. Shoo off the cats and 2. Ensure the girls are not too terrified when I bump into my neighbour in our back garden, frightened the bejesus outta ME!  Anyways, after securing her rather badly beaten puddy cat who was definitely on the losing side, she thanks me for my assistance .. I grunted and nodded but was actually thinking ‘Hey Lady, I am out here checking on my chickens, take your cat and get off my property’.  As she walked past our front door, Syba [our cat] was on the other side, peering out at her [also apparently not impressed at being woken] and she says “Oh, you have your cat inside?” To which I replied “Yeah” but was thinking “Yeah, you might wanna try it one day .. you know, keep your cat under control so neighbours are not up at 3AM exchanging pleasantries when actually wanting to punch you!" :lau

:lau thanks for returning the laughs. :lau

Well that was a rude awakening! Some people just don't get it.

BTW...what are Drop Bears?

So the rumors are true...everything in Australia does want to kill you!

Well, not everything just lots of things

We have about 520 species of spider, most of which are venomous and will not hesitate to bite.

Crocodiles.
The Heat.
Cone Snails.
Sharks.
Kangaroos can, but do not often, kill by disemboweling you.
Giant centipedes.
Snakes.
Cassowaries – definitely straight out of Jurassic Park, Raptors.
Box Jellyfish.
Stonefish.
Cane Toads – if you lick too many of them lol
