Blooie, glad you survived your rather long day. I too adore Tam's new house - it's got so much character. She is one lucky gal!
It rained so much here that in 12 hours, overnight, our tanks, which were below half full, are now completely full. Almost 30,000litres (nearly 8,000gal according to the online conversion thingy) has gone into them! We are in for quite a few more days of rain but nothing that intensive. I've never known it to rain so hard. The storm water culvert at the bottom of our property flooded and our bridge is gone, but at least my chickens and quail didn't get washed away!
I checked on my baby Javas as the floor of my aviary is soaked (it's got a thick lot of wood chips in the bottom) but everyone seems fine. They are huge now. The oldest is 6 days old today and the youngest is 4. Still no sign of feathers but they are a big finch so they are slower to develop than the little finches. My DD wants to hand rear them but I might just steal the two eldest ones and leave the parents the youngest one to finish rearing.
