I didn't realize y'all would thaw by April

. But at least things should be easier this year to get things ready for the opening, I remember the hard work and long hours you put in last year.

We may or may not thaw by April but mid-April is when the water is turned back on down at the course (the water is only on mid-April through mid-October). Still need another 2-3 people for the club house...we have to get the restaurant up to full steam and we can't do that without a few more bodies.

Good morning! Got a busy one planned for today.....it's warm enough to clean the coop and work on the yard around the coop/run. Or I could just eat potato chips, drink pop, and read my book.......so much to decide.

The chicks didn't arrive on time

. They were to be here the 13th, but won't arrive til Friday and of course I'll have a 12 hour shift that day...so can't try to get my newbies til Saturday.

I don't know, they are coming to a local, independent pet/farm supply store near me. I think they come from a hatchery somewhere in or near New Mexico. They still have some BO's and RIR's from last weeks arrivals, but I want BR and Wellies that are to arrive Friday. Most likely they are just not all hatched and ready to fly.

Yep, that's what I thought. The chicks will be fine - only you will have to deal with anxiety.
