Thanks again!

I am fine and well away from any risk .. we are expecting significant rainfall starting tomorrow afternoon and through to the weekend. After crossing the coast she may turn and track south east heading back to the coast [kind of coming up behind us] but will not be a TC then and probably just rain.

To give you an idea the red arrow is where Hubby and FIL are and the blue is me:

Thanks for the locator arrows. Looks like you may only have rain and milder winds?

But your DH and Fil will likely have some strong winds - hope they stay safe and the coop is still standing after it passes.

Guys, I think I'm turning into the lady in my avatar (I think I may have to scream now)...

I've spent the past few hours trying to schedule the golf course help and it's a logistical nightmare. They all want to work 40 hours a week but can't work certain days or have daycare issues or other jobs to work around, have to car pool due to one vehicle per family, etc. etc. etc.

This is why it's almost easier to work a jillion hours a week myself rather than trying to have employees. I swear, this job is going to kill me off yet.

Sorry for the rant, it will get better (right?). Off to take another stab at it......

Sorry about the problems, now you see why I wanted to be a shift worker and not a business owner?

IMO it must be the same everywhere...people may want to work, but want it their way

Maybe time to change your Avatar....

Yeah, just rain and usual winds for us, nothing out of the ordinary for this time of year really.

Just found this one which gives you an idea of the size of Debbie. Again, red arrow is hubby’s location and from there down to the little ‘coastal tip’ on the edge of the lower cloud is approximately 700 km [434 miles].

Obviously, she is not a danger to that whole area but just gives you an idea of the size. Still probably 5 hours before she crosses and they are calling her a 'monster'. Latest reports are roofs being peeled off and trees downed on the islands just off the coast in line with the eye. Some areas expected to get 500mm [19 inches] of rain today.

Thinking about you guys across the ditch Teila. It looked pretty nasty already with trees getting uprooted, and it's only the first touches of wind. I saw they were telling people in its path to stay inside and not go out for any reason. Scary stuff for sure!

Thanks! I have this cloud of my own kinda hanging over me .. I am supposed to be working but I can not focus .. got both eyes on the work monitors and an ear on the television which I can not see but hear.

Hubby is on the right side of the cyclone and I know he will be fine but it does not stop me feeling sick to my stomach with worry! Irrational I know, but can't shake it

Latest is that she has slowed right down and nearly stalled, still increasing in intensity and could get to Cat 5 but now they are saying it could be up to 12 hours before she crosses the coast.
