Love your chickens and your coop!! What kind is the white bird? It looks like my 3 California whites. I had a tiny egg in the box today so wondering if one of my new girls did it or if it was a fluke from one of the big girls. It was a different color then I usually have.

I'm going in for surgery tomorrow, so if you never hear from me again, well I guess that would be normal as I don't post much.

Hi DMC!

The white girl is called a Sapphire, she's a mix of Leghorn and Legbar and is supposed to be a blue egg layer. I named her Bobbie after the BYC member, Bob, that I got the chicks from. Bob threw her in as a 'freebie', hadn't planned on getting her but with getting an accidental roo in the bunch, glad to have another girl in the house. I like her few random black feathers

Kids' appointment fell through at the last minute (is it a sign?) but has been rescheduled for today. So I kinda wasted a day waiting for them when we could have gone to Cody and got our last minute shopping done for this big shindig coming up, and now we have to cram it into this morning, get back here in time for the girls to come over, then finish up the last of the laundry while they're here and pack up tonight. Other than that I have nothing going on.....

Just in case I've never mentioned it, Katie LaVonne is absolutely awesome! We went out to get eggs, got sidetracked when we saw a duck in the clouds, and did a little cloud watching while we talked about the summer slipping by. Then it came up on another thread and even though it's been hours, talking about it still made me smile!

Kids made an offer on the mausoleum today. <sigh> Hope they don't live to regret it!

I dunno, Scott....haven't heard anything yet and kinda wish we would, unless she's recovering and not up to typing yet.

I had no idea that you 'did' live in a real dry, desert area. I thought that you were just saying that it was a bit dry, not bone dry
I must have missed several posts somewhere, or I'm getting forgetful.
