Debby, I planted 5 or 6 varieties. The one that I picked was a Cherokee Purple. I'm still waiting on Mortgage Lifter - my all time favorite.

Yummy! I like the Cherokee purple. I just grew brandywine this year. With a husky cherry for my salads. That Mortgage Lifter sounds interesting, is it a large variety?

It's a large rich pink fruit - firm and well flavored. Last year was the first I planted it, and it knocked Mr Stripey out of the top slot. I have two plants of one variety that are dying. Not sure why. It does not look like wilt. I am guessing some sort of root problem. I am going to have to pull them, identify the variety so that I don't plant it again.

Morning all! It's going to be a crazy busy weekend at the golf course. Our biggest tournament is Saturday, lots of people have signed up and we're serving them breakfast. Then Sunday we have another, smaller, tournament to host (breakfast for them too). Then clean up...lots and lots of clean up. I'm already looking forward to Monday, lol.
