The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

The thing about WY is, it's huge and empty and lots of places to hide things. Although this was about a $5,000+ loss, the chances of finding the stolen items are not great.

B, if anyone needs a beating, I'll call for reinforcements, thanks!

I'll keep you all posted if anything more turns up. One thing I'm most curious about is if the employee suspected actually shows up for work next week (he called in Friday, the day after the stuff was stolen).

Oh, and to top off all the theft drama, get this...when the deputy talked to the employees at work Thursday, he ended up hauling one of them off to jail! Apparently the guy had an outstanding warrant for his arrest in another county on some unrelated incident. :th

DH is down to 2 maintenance workers and I'm down to 1.5 employees for the pro shop/restaurant/bar.

Oy vey...just 5 more weeks...
When it rains it pours. Hang in there. :hugs

Are you serious!?!?!?!? At least the end is in sight.

Debby, how bad is the smoke down your way? I've been hitting the nebulizer and using the inhalers like crazy, but breathing right now is like breathing soup - stinky, oily, burning soup. These are the normal views from my house - the Big Horns are the mountains to the east and in the first shot (with the van) that's what they normally look like, and in the next shot (with the other cars) is how they look today. The sunset/snow shot is what we usually see to the north....and a shot from today.

Morning all!

Blooie, we're very, very hazy here (Elk Mountain is barely visible) but it isn't as bad as what you're getting. I haven't really noticed the smoke smell. Hope it clears up quickly as possible so your breathing is easier.

We had a nice evening last night. Two of last year's maintenance guys and a friend of theirs stayed after the course closed and we all ate dinner together. DH made chicken parmesan and I tossed some salad together...boy, can those guys eat! It was fun seeing the 2 of them and visiting.

Back to the grind today. Guess I'll be celebrating Labor Day by laboring, lol.

Have a great Monday everyone!

Maybe you should ask them to do background checks on every one you hire .
Even if the one you suspected is not guilty, I would still be suspicious. Makes me wonder if this is a frequent problem for most golf courses?

Hope y'all have no more theft or crime issues, you have had your limit.

Too bad they were last year's....wish you could hire them back :)

5 weeks sounds nice.....but there's many more seasons to come

I'm sorry Debby. Aren't some people awful?! I just don't understand people like that.

I've got button quail eggs due to hatch. They were technically due yesterday and my temperature has been slightly warmer than it should've been (it's a very cheap incubator) but they are keeping me in suspense! I candled a few to make sure there was hope and there were little shadow beaks in the air cells of most of them. They do like to hatch together as mother quail don't hang around long on the nest. My girl out in the aviary should be hatching her babies soon too. I checked them yesterday and found her mother had snuck a couple of hers in there! They are only about 3 days into incubation so I put them in the incubator. There's no hope for me!

Hope the hatches go well and you won't be doing hourly feedings :fl
