Any shot can hurt if the person giving it doesn't warm it up before administering it.I’m 48 and have not been vaccinated. Last shot I had was an MMR as I did not test immune when I was in the hospital with second child. That sucker hurt, no wonder babies cry.
The old one was 51% effective. The new one is 90%effective.Good question. I don't think they actually know.![]()
Hope he perks up soon, I was sick over 2 weeks around Christmas, took 2 rounds of antibiotics and a really big needled shot to recover.
You cannot get chicken pox from one with shingles - just make sure the one with the outbreak has those areas covered. I'm worried our young folks will eventually get chicken pox when they are too old to handle it...like the past problem we had with inadequate/incorrect timing of the measles vaccine
ON a brighter note, a neighbor won the best Christmas Decorations in our state. (don't know them, just live really close by). But did do a drive thru to see the lights this year. We could hear their music every night from Thanksgiving til after Dec 25th

Um, I don't recall EVER having a dream about ducks stuck to the ceiling!(as you do - pearl patterned mallard ducks stuck in the ceiling)
What ever it was, DON'T do it again!Must have been a night for weird dreams. Princess woke up mad at me for something I said in her dream ? She couldn't remember what it was , but remembered that it was really bad.![]()
Got it. I know what you are talking about and yes you should find yours or buy a new one to cover the cord to dish connection.Sorry, i meant the connection cover thingies you can out over the connections, wasn't sure what those were called.
TOO LATE!!!!And no, you don't have to read this entire post. Just venting.
Yes you can get chicken pox from someone with shingles but you have to be in contact with the weeping pus stuff, just stay clear.I have never had chicken pox and I’ve heard you can get them if your exposed to someone with shingles. One of the people I clean for had weeping shingles the other day and out the door I went...there was no going in the next room to avoid the cooties![]()
I will attest to this fact. Worst pain in my life including kidneys stones that landed me in the ER.The only thing I know about shingles is that people say they are very painful. Look after yourself!
They don't usually give it to people under 60. Of course I had shingles when I was < 55.All of us in that age group(over 35) are supposed to get the new vaccine.
False, see above. You can't get SHINGLES from someone with shingles. But yes keeping the oozing areas covered. And see a doctor, they gave me gabapentin. You cannot get chicken pox from one with shingles - just make sure the one with the outbreak has those areas covered.
The new shingles vaccine starts at 50. I hope I make it until it is out! They don't usually give it to people under 60. Of course I had shingles when I was < 55.
