Spoiled? The siamese is supposed to be a shop cat...hubby just sent the food from the shop up to the house with me...hmmm...thinking he will be a permanent house cat.

So, I went to see Gai [my wildlife carer friend] yesterday to visit Omu and get some pond plants .. the plan being that I have the plants in the ponds for a week before adding the guppies. Anyhow, I get there and she tells me that I am being over cautious and that I should just take some fish also; test the water per say. She ran the net through the pond and came up with probably 30 guppies! So, we have fishies!! That one scoop made no negligible difference to the numbers in her big pond [she also has two smaller ponds] and we estimate she probably has hundreds of thousands, if not over the million mark

Anyways, I went down this morning wondering if we would have swimming or floating and I am pleased to say they survived and were still swimming

After doing all the watering yesterday, we had a nice drop of rain overnight which I was obviously not expecting.

91.5F predicted for today so I am actually quite pleased to be sitting in front of the computer, working and enjoying Mr Arlec the evaporative cooler .. back to work for a rest! Current humadity 80%

Curious. At least for aquariums the "rule" is to put the fish in first since they will make fertilizer for the plants.

Hhhhm, OK, I had not heard that before Thank You! The plant she has given me is a 'floater' and she said just to place some on the pond surface and it will send out 'feelers' to attach itself to the bottom. It does not need to be potted as such.

May be I should now be more concerned about the plant surviving than the fish The guppies are quite tiny at the moment as mostly youngsters and they look a little lost in the what would be huge ponds to them; I am thinking it will take a lot of pooping before the water is fertilized

Brother got us some pancake mix from the breakfast place they ate at this morning. Him and gf went hiking. We also had them over for dinner tonight.



And I got some dog whistles online. They actually got here like yesterday but then I forget to get them and the wind blew them into the woods lol sp my dad got them.

The 535 is definitely expensive compared to other whistles BUT I wanted the real deal not a knock off and this one will hopefully last a while. Like if I ever get a new puppy or anything.

I got it because I think Gator might be going deaf and it is supposed to be easier to hear. But then again, sometimes he hears fine. Like when I told him Ben was here. So I do wonder if it's selective hearing haha but just like some stuff like he won't know when people are at the door or here till they're actually here or like yesterday I walked by and he was sleeping and he didn't wake up until I opened the outside door and he acted kind of surprised even though I walked right next to him. But maybe he just was too deep of a sleep lol

But either way, deaf or not, it's supposed to clearer and crisper.

Also I think these are really cool but they are harder to use and I do not have a herding dog.

It's actually really easy if you're not trying to take pictures while cooking. In the spring I like to add fresh asparagus tips to it, just before it goes in the oven.

I failed on fire duty last night. Only slept for 3.5 hours and woke up to no coals. I have no idea why the fires aren't burning longer. I'm setting the damper half open to slow the burn.
