They have a thing where you can enter your zip code and get your zone or you can click a state and look the whole state. I did both and confirmed I am in fact 6B and also.... wow Vermont is cold lol

Also we had a surveyor out today.

They came out a couple weeks ago but just found the stones/markers. Today they actually marked it.

Slightly bad news in that the lines aren't quite what we thought they were.

Finally caught up again! Your chickens sound happy in their new home, Kelsey. Glad the change over wasn't too traumatic for them.

We have some banana palms flowering in our garden and Mr Tui came to drink the nectar this morning so that was a bit of a thrill. I took some photos through the kitchen window so they aren't great, but it was wonderful for the kids to see him so close and thankfully he didn't seem to notice us. Usually he's on the highest branch he can find chortling and honking away to anyone who will listen. The poor banana palms are pretty tattered at the moment after all the wind we've been having recently.

For some decent photos of tui have a look at this page. They have gorgeous, iridescent feathers.

I was surprised at how fast they got use to it!!

Although we did have a hen decide the corner was more comfortable today.

I guess that comes with the territory of having the whole coop be comfortable though haha

And I got locked in again but I don't mind.

And I gave the chickens sprouts earlier after cooking them last night. Some cooked some uncooked. They loved them

It goes through the wall. Think of it like a long finger that pulls up the lever that releases the pin.

Including a guarantee that if you don't get at least 35 hours EVERY month, he will make up the difference out of his pocket. ;)

If HE had to do it it might be a PITA for him but since you are doing it, he shouldn't care :D Don't bother with the peppers, at this point you need to buy started plants. Peppers are slow growers and we just don't have a long enough season to start with seeds now unless you have a greenhouse for the fall. Start the peppers in February next year.
Soak the pepper seeds in "salt peter" first, helps with germination!
