The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

Morning all :frow

Morning everyone!:frow

So what's chirp'n your bator, Bob?

Barred Hollands and Rhode Island Whites...

I have read about incubators form China that play songs. Chirping would be good too!

Are the chicks internally pipped or have some hatched?

Yup, Early starters... These go to the Brooder on Saturday, but I'm manually managing humidity now as my humidity pump quite working. Came home yesterday and it was 38% instead of 65%. Left a VM and sent an email to brinsea support to figure out how to troubleshoot. Their manual is horrible....

Good morning, everyone! Funny me - haven't been on too much the last couple of days, but last night Lori called me and neither of us could remember exactly what time Linda passed away. (Been a rough week for both of us.) So I knew I'd posted it on Rachel's thread, did a search and found it. We continued our conversation, then I went to let Fiona out one last time and get her crated so I could go lay down for a while until Ken got home. Got up the this morning, woke up my computer and there I was, still on that page on Rachel's thread. So according to BYC, I was on the computer on one thread for 11.5 hours. <head smack>

He put one of the do not disturb signs in the adjoining door until it popped open. Scarily easy but I was glad he didn't have to tear the latch down or anything. Then I was like well that was easy and he kinda laughed and said yeah that's why you always want to do the deadbolt when you're not staying in the room next to you. He was very nice. And kinda cute. :lau

Evening all... :frow 12 RIW and 15 BH went to the brooder tonight... A day early due to humidity concerns, only had to do one assisted hatch due to shrink wrapping and (s)he is making quite the racket right now. Have one RIW that is not likely to make it, but we'll see. Hatched prior to getting everything back into the body. She's shaped up nicely but very tired and weak. Left her in the bator as well.
