The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

Today was mostly FUN but we did get some training in too. :)

Working on our automatic sits.

Loose leash walking

Impulse control lol she was pawing at the door incessantly right after our walk so I made her lie in the bed for 10 minutes before we went out and played so she wouldn't overheat lol she got up a couple times but went right back to the bed when I told her to. She tried to a third time, went up into a sit, but I caught her and she slid right back down. of course, rewarded for going back and staying. She stared at me the whoooooleeee time though. Desperately waiting for a release cue LOL

We don't just have flirt pole fun, we have tug and fetch fun too. :)

I thought she was tired but after a few minutes, she was ready for more flirt pole.

Sometimes you just need a good roll in the grass. Also I think she's half kangaroo

Hi Debby! Only half a day of cleaning today. Got a call last night 11ish and it was one of Craig’s sisters. Their middle sister was found deceased in her home yesterday, no details yet. She was divorced with no children. Their mom tried to get ahold of her last week and she never answered so not sure when she passed.:( She was 53.

That is so sad. 53 is far too young. :hugs

Here's little Winter to cheer you up some, still damp from hatching. Tilly may well have had babies before she flew in to join our family - I have no way of knowing how old she is. She certainly seemed to know exactly what to do which was a relief (apparently sometimes they don't know how to feed the baby). Hopefully Dilly, being a young bird, will follow her lead and do his part and it sounds like a more experienced bird will teach their partner if they are being clueless. Hopefully I can get some more photos today of a slightly more fluffy baby.

I was kicking myself for not adding a bit more bedding to the nest before the little one entered the world. I don't want to cause it to get splayed legs. The nighttime temperatures are going to be quite cool the next couple of nights so I'm extra glad they only have one baby to care for.

So cute!!

I bet your gas prices are a lot lower than mine.

Probably! But still... $2.99. Cost me $45.79 to almost fill up. 15.25 gallons. My tank is 17 gallons. The gas light wasn't on yet. I think I had like less than a quarter (1/4) tank. But I remember when I used to be able to fill it up for like 30 bucks
