has to be for the money, i'm afraid that if i knew of someone with a puppy mill going on, i might do something that i would end up in jail for
I second that, I know I'd make the evening news:gig

It doesn't matter the size of the animal, that situation should never occur but like I said, sadly it does...and not just dogs. Cats, birds, horses, even snakes are subjected to such conditions due to greed of the almighty dollar...sad!
i raised hookbills for over 35 years, my breeder birds were treated like royalty , their cages were kept clean, they were fed quality bird food and they got veggies everyday, i even went out and picked wild seeds for them(neighbors thought i was the crazy lady) i am but thats beside the point:gig i raised birds because i loved the birds. i always checked out the people who bought my babies and if i didn't get a good feeling, i didn't sell to that person, when i had to sell my birds because husband wanted to go south for the winters it just about killed me but i found them all good homes. it wasn't for the money, thats for sure, i spent more than i made:idunno

Oh yeah, horrible either way, I just meant like at least they might not take up quite as much room in the house as a horse dog aha but obviously not an excuse or funny at all, horrible. And yes, it happens to lots of animals :( I've seen birds on Craigslist in horrible conditions :( a bunch of cockatiels, lovebirds, parakeets, in one cage. Usually pretty small for the amount of birds and filthy and/or no toys :(

And the amount of underweight horses, overgrown hooves, etc. Is sad. Or severely obese minis and ponies sitting as pasture pets for the kids or doing a couple pony rides and parties for the money, all of which is just as bad imo.

Money makes people do terrible things.

That said, even pet owners can. Even if it's unintentional. I always cringe when I see severely obese animals that are clearly uncomfortable or the "cute" videos when the animal is clearly uncomfortable with the situation or how fat animals are "cute" now. But those I guess aren't quite as bad because they're not doing it intentionally or with a lack of care for the animals, they may just not know.

I don't think I could actually do something but I would call the poloce, even if it was a close friend or family, cause that's just unacceptable. Or I'd break in and steal them.

See, that's how it should be.

i'd bail you out

Thanks, that's one of my pet peeves, you don't mistreat children and you don't mistreat animals.

Agreed big time. And sadly both happen far too often

Good morning. Trying to feed critters and do storm prep. Lots of stuff laying around that could be projectiles in heavy winds.
How bad is it going to hit you there? My sister and her family are in Wilmington NC and my niece said she had to evacuate as she’s close to the ocean.
