Good morning, buddies! Ken is off to Burns and Pine Bluffs for two visitations and I sat this one out. Still kinda wobbly on my feet so we figured I could use the rest this week to recover - even if that means trying to keep up with Fee.

Today I bite the bullet and try to strip her coat myself. Should be interesting, to say the least. Into the fray I go.......if you don't hear from me by tonight, send in a rescue party. Man, dealing with her grooming is a heck of a lot different than taking care of a chicken's feathers and feet. <sigh>

It's like taking care of a walking shag carpet.

Maybe it's not "ripe" yet. I dunno. But as long as she lays there quietly and lets me do it, I'll keep going.

I can loan you a pair of hand shears. Stripping might be easier if her coat was only an inch long.

@Blooie I hope Ken doesn't run into terrible weather driving. Yesterday we spent most the day driving to & all over Casper in nasty weather and all the way back home. Snowed most the night and now we're getting those little snow BB's.

Forgot to mention, between my last post and the one just above, I got a call from the Wyoming Department of Health. They’re calling everyone who got sick at the Country Club dinner Thursday night. Uh oh.
