Oh, we're getting there. Got about 8 inches of her done, only a mile or two to go. <sigh> She's tolerating it very well...just lays there and lets me go to town on it. Um, it's not quite as easy as it looked on the YouTube video where the lady was doing the Miniature Schnauzer...with the proper tools. All I have are my fingers and a bag of treats. I did find one video of a lady stripping a Wolfhound puppy's coat - the pup was about the same age as Fee but Fee's coat is not pulling out that easily. Maybe it's not "ripe" yet. I dunno. But as long as she lays there quietly and lets me do it, I'll keep going. I need to take a lot of breaks, but that's more for me than for her - my hips and back don't want me on the floor that long. Thank goodness I can make her stand and then use her to get up!

Also... you can get her up!? Gator would just continue laying there lol

I can loan you a pair of hand shears. Stripping might be easier if her coat was only an inch long.


We'll look under the mountain of dog hair, right?

Very true, forgot she also has a way longer coat in addition to being bigger.

And I think they do make stripping knives

Forgot to mention, between my last post and the one just above, I got a call from the Wyoming Department of Health. They’re calling everyone who got sick at the Country Club dinner Thursday night. Uh oh.

Bruce, what's your weather doing to you (or for you) today?

Low 50s for a high but rising overnight to 77 tomorrow afternoon. Pretty much no chance of rain today but 100% cloud cover. It did sprinkle/mist much of the day. 60's the next 2 days with a pretty good chance of rain on Thursday. Guess that means I'll be changing the hydraulic fluid and filters in the tractor tomorrow or Wednesday when there is a 20% chance of rain. Not quite due yet but I'd rather do it while I can feel my fingers .

Looks like Michael is still planning to hit the Florida panhandle on Wed, as a 110+ MPH hurricane. Batten down the hatches!
