The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

Morning all. Feeling quite awful this morning. Bad migraine and slightly nauseous from it. Had it last night, figured sleep would help but apparently not. Didn't really sleep well either. Went to sleep around 12:30, woke up around 6:30, fell back asleep until a little after 8 then couldn't go back to sleep. Have to do the dog today at 11:30 too. Ugh. Thinking I will take an Excedrin to try to deal but sometimes that upsets my stomach because of the caffeine but I don't really have a choice because Advil basically does nothing lately and Pamprin does nothing for headaches and I think we're out of Tylenol. So if I gotta go, I gotta go but at least I won't be suffering quite as much. Gotta find something to eat it with though so I don't tear up my stomach even more, don't have much in the house atm. Also my sinuses/ears have been bugging me lately so I'm not sure if it's related or not.
Hope you feel better soon!

Were they vaccinated? Hope they get over it quickly.
Probably meant stomach flu. No vaccine for that one! Influenza has started though.

I took my DD to get the influenza vaccine last Thursday

Got the flu running through the kids here, so only time will tell. :idunno

Poor things. Hopefully they'll bounce back quickly.

Our 5 little bantams broke out this morning (my fault as I didn't secure the door) and all squeezed into a tiny patch of dry dirt under our Pohutukawa tree to dust bathe. They did look funny.

We've had an exhausted looking Fantail (a tiny, adorable native bird) in our garden. He's teaching his 2 fledglings to hunt flies. They are such cute little birds.

Sooo Tractor Supply finally carries Nutrena NatureWise Hearty Hen and All Flock (they used to only carry layer pellets and crumbles, Feather Fixer, chick starter/grower and meatbird crumble), and I almost bought the All Flock because no one is laying now and I usually buy Purina FlockRaiser but Nutrena percentages are better but anyway... then I noticed this... this batch was manufactured July 27th... I am think I shouldn't buy it?? Guess it must not be selling well??? But I don't want someone else's flock to get sick. Also it is way cheaper. $14.99 instead of $18.49. (Idk why Purina so expensive, Purina layer feed is only $15.99, same price as the Hearty Hen). But I am thinking it is not worth it? Purina was manufactured October and September. Thoughts?
