The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

Sometimes you can feel a reaction as your immune system kicks in afterwards. It should go away in a few days. Drink green tea and take it easy. :)

Thanks! Google said the same thing. Said some soreness or aches is normal and like you said, immune reaction and not the actual flu and lasts 1 or 2 days. Which is good cause I used to think it caused the flu and didn't wanna get the shot anymore but I do every year.

Kdogg we aren't the ones to answer you. Those are questions for a medical professional.

Yeah I Googled it and found an answer and it said it's normal.

BTW you can worry yourself into having(thinking) you have all sorts of reactions. You tell us about many symptoms all the time. Let your mind focus on some good things. And please don't think about a puppy from the pet store. You don't know what puppy mill/ whatever it came from.

Okay, I'm outta here.

Sorry, I suppose I do, although IRL I'm not thinking about it all the time thankfully, just sometimes mention it if it comes up I guess but I guess it is kinda a lot. So I guess trying to focus on other stuff would be good but the jaw thing I think is a real issue and I'm planning in going to a real dentist cause ours sucks

Usually the shot hurts because the person giving the shot is not good at it!

The one this year was great. Last year it hurt though

That's probably it lol

i don't know whether to believe you and bruce or if you two are just pulling our legs:idunno
Nope, it's the real deal! Someone else was talking about if I had any pics of me, when I was little and dancing in the Tiny Tots category. I finally found a pic and thought I'd use it for Native American Heritage Month!

Or because you tighten up with anxiety, etc. as they approach with the syringe. I'm usually joking around with the shot giver and don't focus on what they are doing. Like Target gives a $ 5.coupon on a store purchase w/ a shot. Whoopee!!
I usually ask the pharmacist if I could have another flu shot. We laugh over it(we've been buddies for many years) and sometimes I get a candy bar from his private stash.
Just a very nice man, will laugh at anything - and our sons were about the same age and going through acne together.

you know ohld, i've made husband brake so often for squirrels that he knows the drill, even that sometimes they go crazy and dart back the way they came from, we both love squirrels and hate to kill them :)

and have to ask, how's the knee coming along?

Oh and as for the puppy thing... sorry that I wasn't very clear. Don't worry, they were not puppy mill puppies or any dogs they were selling. There were just a lot of puppies there with their owners. I think there was a puppy class going on or something. I figured that out when I was leaving. Our pet stores don't even sell dogs or cats. The closest they come is this particular Petsmart has a cat adoption center with a few cats (usually 1-3) up for adoption from a local rescue group. And recently the pet stores, mostly Petco, have started offering rescue small animals too like rabbits, guinea pigs, gerbils, etc.

Aw that's awesome! He sounds great!! I don't normally get anxiety from shots or needles or even seeing blood so no issues there. Although this time I was a teeny tiny bit like prepping for it to hurt but then it didn't and tge lady was really nice

Phew! I thought you were off on a "must get one" tear!

Same thing happens here in Texas, except their not stars but very wealthy. Start buying up land and it becomes a popular place to live, forces out the normal folks, that sell their property become wealthy and the cycle begins over again.
It is expected to happen when Amazon puts 1 of their 2 new "headquarters" buildings in
Crystal City, a neighborhood in Arlington, Va. It will be "revitalized" and people living there now for decades will have to find somewhere they can afford to live after the property values skyrocket.

I saw my name in the Obits one day in FL! The lady had a son named Robert, like me!
You are a pretty active person for someone who has passed on Cap!

Yep, in "Tiny Tots" competition at the Comanche Homecoming PowWow in Walters, Oklahoma, 6 yrs old! :)
:love

Hmm, I wonder if the one they just opened here does that.

i get one every year now, can't say i'm wild about it, but its something that has to be done so i do it, my dr's nurse always gives it, old nurse is the one who gave me the golf ball new one isn't so bad. i'll be getting mine on the 27th, then leaving for fl on the 28th if i'm not sick(still have to be around other people that don't have enough brains to stay home when they have the flu)
