Nope, it was 4° at 7 AM, colder than Mr. NOAA expected (as usual). Don't know that I have enough wood. I have more trees cut but not all up at the house to block. Splitter is going back because though they claim it will out split a 22 ton non flywheel splitter, it more often than not crammed the wedge into the wood and I would spend 5 minutes with a 3' crowbar getting the wood out so the rack and wedge could retract. Gave up after about 1/2 hour and about 6 pieces of wood in the drying/storage rack, brought out the old 10 ton electric that uses hydraulics to move the wedge from end to end. If that one gets stuck, just reverse the direction. It split everything I had ready that the bigger, supposedly much stronger, splitter could not. Good thing I didn't sell the old, slow but steady, splitter before finding out the new one is a non starter.
