Thanks, everyone! Me too, Sunflour! If they decide to to this, it won't be until late summer/early fall. Then they'll do both procedures at the same time. A little riskier from a complication standpoint but far better for her to recover from this kind of surgery once than twice. What a difference it will make in her little life! It's one of those things we are looking forward to and dreading all at the same time!

Young ones deal with procedures and surgery much better than us older folks. I am a little surprised, would have expected this to be offered when she were a lot older?

I think it's because of the number of UTIs she gets, Sunflour, and how severe her constipation from the Spina Bifida gets at times. And who knows, they may wait another year or so too. That's what we'll be finding out this week. I know they've done it on kids younger than Kendra, so we trust them.
