There required in some applications. Their called (GFI) ground fault interrupter. If you lose ground they trip and shut off the power to whatever you have hooked up to it. Moisture is a big problem with GFI's, the slightest bit will make them trip. I don't like them at all.Electrician wired everything last week. Power is hooked up. Insulation is in the walls. I believe the vapour barrier is going on next.
Does the US require arc fault breakers down there? It's code here, and the bloody things pop non stop.
