DH just called and said our kitchen cabinets are ordered. We should have them in 2 weeks so he's busy getting the electrical done in the kitchen and then will have to finish pulling up all the nasty old floor so the tile can go in.

I haven't been up to Casper for a couple weeks now...it's going to look a lot different next time I see it :D

Hopefully you don't run into what we just discovered. We found out that we have hardwood in the kitchen. Unfortunately, there are 2 layers of asbestos tiles directly glued to the hardwood, so they can't be salvaged :(

House update:
Drywall is done.
Insulation is in the walls & attic.
Vents and furnace started going in today.
Gas fitting will be next week (same guy who is doing the heating).
Electrician will be coming the end of next week to get everything done now that the inspection is done.
Deck being built next week so that our handyman will be out of HVAC/ gas guy's way.
Plumbing inspection is done & passed.
Hopefully water pressure tank will go in the end of next week too.
So :fl after next week the only things that will need to be done is insulating the floors, mudding & taping, priming, hanging doors, refinishing the hardwood, laying the vinyl tile in the kitchen & bath and tiling the bathroom walls. Then the final inspection and then we can move in!!:wee

Wow! That is so awesome!! I'm so happy for you, you will finally be able to enjoy the comforts of home!!
 
Not much news to add today. Kendra said a spontaneous sentence at (not for) her aide yesterday. They were working on a paper (to be exhibited later) and Kendra tried to grab a pencil away from her aide. Keisha said no, that she had to say the word first. So Kendra said it, but incorrectly. Keisha said, “Kendra, you can say this word. Now tell me what I have and what you want. Say it again”. Kendra looked right at her and said, “No, I don’t want to right now,” just like that.

Kendra’s masterpieces. When Jen sent me the photos, she said “All of her papers always say Grandma and Grandpa. I’m feeling left out here.”

This one says “You are caring” with a heart she drew and I love you at the bottom and she tried to draw a heart.
