Ok folks, I'm on the fence... If DW would let me go to an Arby's, I would likely try one just to see, but I'm skeptical. But then again, there's the DW issue... She worked for an Arby's and simply will not go.![]()
OH BOY! THANK YOU SEAN!!!!1 cup all purpose flour
1 teaspoon of baking powder
1/8 teaspoon of salt
1/3 cup hot water
A pinch of sugar
Enough lard to make about 1" deep in a deep skillet
Mix dry ingredients in a bowl. Add the hot water slowly, I mix it by hand, yeah, gets messy.
Let stand for 30 minutes
Take a golf ball size piece of dough, roll it out flat sprinkling it with flour until it's not sticky. I pat it out by hand till it's about 6" round.
Put it in the hot oil or lard, in a deep skillet 375° seems to work best for me. About 1" of oil is best, don't over heat the oil. Cook until golden brown on both sides, usually 2-3 minutes.
Drain on paper towels and add whatever condiment you desire. Yum!
