The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

Good morning Berts! How was your weekend, are you still working on building projects?

I woke up late so haven't had time to think about an agenda for the day yet. I'm sure it involves laundry at some point regardless of anything else.

I have a question about house shutters, maybe you can tell me. Should they be centered to line up with the window? The ones that came on my house were lined up to be centered with the window framing. We're going to have to replace them and think they look a bit "off" the way they are.

What do you think?

(And will this professional opinion cost me?)

the window framing doesn't match the window? I'm not sure what you're asking? shutters should line up, so that if closed, the two shutters meet in the center of the window.

That answers my question...the shutters need to be lined up with the windows. I'd take a photo but they are so derned ugly it would be embarrassing to post. Whoever put them up didn't line the shutters up with the window, they centered them with the window framing.

Thanks Berts!

no problem........

especially where you and I live, shutters should be functional. hurricanes tend to lend a functional role to our architecture......

I don't cough or smoke....I have had asthma a long time though....I don't really know what to say about the COPD...or what the difference is....they've said it for a long time too...but at the same time it was only a few years ago my respiratory Dr said I had the best "functioning" lungs he had seen. I really don't get out of breath......it's just sometimes I have a hard time physically breathing.
Mostly in the winter months.
Low dose prednisone can keep that in check.....I just don't like taking it so I quit and sometimes that bites me in the azz.
If your son can sit it'd best that I'd for sure....I smoked when I was younger....but quit before I got leukemia....

Good morning Phil! I'm surprised you don't cough with your asthma. I have a niece and nephew that have it and they cough....and you've had leukemia on top of it? I was on prednisone once for bad hives and it made me buggy and that was only for 10 days...it worked though. Have a good day.
