i used to be the same way, but sometimes i feed husband and myself before i feed the chickens, at least sometimes around supper time, in the morning, always the them first, thats the only animals i have now except for the bulldog, bella, she gets her food when she gets up, first thing if she gets up with me but lately she sleeps in with husband, shes lazy

Yep, George gets his welfare checked before I do anything for myself.

all of my animals used to be fed and watered first when i had them but like i said,now its just the chickens and bella, bill has the pigs and a schipperke that he feeds and he usually goes out with me to feed the pigs, then he also feeds the gd's goats and two rabbits before he comes to help in the garden with me, this morning he helped put up a fence around my beans, seems we have either a groundhog or a 4 pt buck eating the tops out, keeps on will have to invite them to supper one night and i'm not sure i want to eat groundhog or for that mater how to even cook it altho a lady many many years ago told me how she fixed it, but like i said, many many years ago and not sure i remember correctly but i'm game with a recipe

DMC wasn't it you that helped process hogs? What did they use for a scalder?

I just watched a few viedos and it seems the best one is a cast iron bathtub with a bigo ole wood fire under neath....
