Interesting night here. Found this little chick behind the dust bath in the run...she and another one had found a small gap in their pen that we missed. Caught one, found the other dead behind the dust bath, so we put the one we found back and fixed the gap so no more would find it. Started wrapping the dead chick in a plastic bag to take out. She moved her beak..just barely...but that was enough for a change of plans. I wasn't even sure if her beak opening was a gasp for air or just a fluke from being none-to-gently handled. Brought her inside, stuck her in the incubator until Ken got a warming place set up for her. She was stiffening, ice cold to touch, no breaths - just nothing.
In the incubator.
Then to a basket in the kitchen. Basket is sitting on a heating pad, then we pulled the other end of the heating pad over the top.

Put her back out with the others last night, and she was glad to be there.
