I have said for years that if thinking about something was doing it, I'd have the cleanest house in the county . . . *sigh* the dust bunnies are unimpressed.

Of course, I know that if thinking was doing, there'd be a heckuva lot more "thinking" being done, and very little of the work that people actually get paid to do.

After we were married, I said "quit wasting OUR money on those stupid things!"

Persactly.
I got the meanest nastiest glare from a friend's wife because of that.
When we were at his dad's house and a diamond commercial came on the TV.
He asked me which diamond I would want my husband to buy me, ...and I said that I would be furious if he wasted our hard earned money on a stupid rock.
Apparently she had been asking for one for months.
