The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

:gigtoo late it's already out! :D

Story of my life - say/act and then think. :he

I think we're going to see Midway...we both like stories about WW11. The Mr Rogers movie looks good too but I think DH would have a better chance of staying awake with the war movie.

We haven't been to a movie theater in over 6 years, looking forward to it!

Both are on our 'To See' list. Think we are going to see the Thomas Edison movie tomorrow.

Keep the old model...new ones are hard to break into shape! :gig

Fact. Took the Princess 55 years to perfect me.

I was out feeding and watering, next I have more fixing up for winter. And I want to get the workshop cleaned up. No rest for the wicked.
mine are ready to be taken to friends closer to the 25th then after dr's appt on the 26th we're free to leave, then all i have to feed will be the dogs and us, long vacation from chickens but will miss them

I hatched another 70ish more chicks. Now he's decided that he doesn't like buckeyes (smaller than he thought they'd be). So I had to bring home 46 pullets today.....
If the guy had even the most infinitesimal amount of morals, he would have kept those birds per the agreement. He could certainly say at the same time that he doesn't want to repeat the process.

Yep, I'm a mod! ;)
And now making the BIG clucks ;D

and what does a mod do?
Keeps you out of trouble here! ;D

Good morning everyone. No snow here, but the temperatures have dropped into the mid 20's.
We got the temps and the snow yesterday.

That or maybe a new model
Careful with that one. My older (1 whole year) step-sister broke her ankle a couple of years ago. Her husband said maybe he should have gotten a younger model (10 year anniversary later this month) and I pointed out that my wife was 7 years younger and had rheumatoid arthritis for about 17 years at that point. He reconsidered his statement ;)

It has been a while since I was at a theater. They had big lounge chairs there!
Probably why @N F C and DH are going to see a more action packed movie. Likely to fall asleep in the big comfy chairs.

Bruce - why haven't you called @Blooie yet?
I did, on Halloween. Left a message and phone number in case she wanted to call back but nothing :( Just did a Google search again. Yeah I know morbid but checking for obits for her or a family member. At least nothing like that came up but there was an article about Tammy:

I wonder if Blooie is hurting regarding Linda's death. I think the 1 year anniversary was a couple of months ago.

He spent Monday night in the pound.
BAD DOG! I don't suppose a night in the slammer changed his outlook on "the other side of the fence".

Livestock guardians are notorious for escaping fences. That is how our Pyrenees met his demise. You wouldn't believe the little spaces he squeezed out through!

People who are experiencing a lot of cold weather, snow, ick and more. Just please buy yourself ONE really good winter hooded parka and accessories to go with it .ie warm gloves, mittens are better, warm/waterproof boots, A knit cap or similar warm fleece hat to wear under the hood.

Hoods are notorious for fitting badly - too many places for cold air to rush in. Fleece lined jeans or snow pants complete the picture. You don't need a hundred of them to mix and match colors - just really good ones.

BTW please- get a size big enough so you can layer underneath if you are very sensitive to cold temps.

YOU can certainly dress to keep yourself adequately warm in the worst of winter. But in summers of 90's and 100F + you can't keep yourself comfortable outside.

I'd take the cold any day. I buy from both Lands End and LLBean, I'm sure other places are good as well such as REI, Erehwon (nowhere spelled backwards) mainly I look for good solid guarantees. I don't want zippers that go berserk etc. from the first wearing.

I don’t think I’ve posted this here yet but I got hatching eggs... :lau

Just set them today :D
