YOu can offer to pasture some pigs for someone else...

Also ... Pigs are smart and cute and when kept in a pasture they stay pretty clean... smell less. I like the fact that they root in the ground and aid in getting the roots out. Plus aeriate the soil
Are you allowed to toutch pigs? If not i would pass.

Goats are a great choice or Hair sheep. Goats browse on leaves and Sheep Graze on grasses. Goats will go up a tree as high as they can reach as well.

I cant do pigs myself because I fall in love with them, and I also know how smart they are. At least for butchering and eating... I am the same with Goats the little Reprobates.... LOL. Oh I have stories of the stuff they get into... If I got them again they would do perimeter brush detail. Because of the risk of fire we are required to clear brush out 100 feet from the house. I am good on two sides but the other two are full of Chaparal and Cholla. and in wet years mustard....

Which reminds me when i move up there is going to be a huge crop of mustard growing up there. If you get it young you can Clean it and fry it up with a salty meat... Oh yum... I fry it up with Fat back but thats pork.

Toss in a little vinegar and butter to cut through the bitterness of the wild greens... Maks an excellent side dish or even a main dish If you put some Red meat in it. It might be awesome with lamb lots of garlic and rosemary....

Oh my I am getting hungry

Ya I can touch pigs it's not that I think they are unclean to touch or anything. I just don't eat them. I have heard they have a lot of parasites and the last time I ate pig I got sick. Then I started finding verses in the Bible about how certain animals are not good for you. so I just cut all pork and unkosher products out of my diet. Plus Dogs aren't kosher either but I still pet them I don't see why not.

home made muster sounds does healthy :drool

good morning All... its 3:30 and I havent been to bed...

I finally got started with the pressure canner today.... Did two sets of Turkey broth. Half Pints... I cant eat much so all my food will be in smaller jars.

NO counter space here so I made a make shift shelf out of the oven door. put rack down and towel on rack to set the jars on to cool.

it took a while to get used to the sound of the canner Water boiling and the pressure valve happily rocking away. I think I am going to enjoy canning. Especially when I start growing veggies.

Beans will be next.. I figure Turkey broth was a starter... and if I Effed it up then No loss.

its a toss up weather to can beans or to make another batch of broth... This time it will be beef.

So Good night all...

I really don't know how to answer that, Sharron. I don't know if it's scar tissue, minute bone fracture or if metalosis is setting in? or if arthritis is taking hold?:idunno I've been in pain quite a bit lately... I wasn't for several months. Maybe it's just being "worked" too hard...I've been having severe muscle cramps deep down in the thigh muscle area...bad enough to wake me up from a sound sleep. So just don't know what's going on...
That doesn't sound good I hope you get better:fl
