Deb, I am so doggone happy for you! youve worked so hard and done so well! Let me know how you like that walker, once you get it (or yourself) adjusted. Mine is dying.....keeps coming loose. Ken tightens the bolts but they seem to loosen right back up. He wanted to put some kind of tightener gel on them, but then I’d lose the ability to adjust it when I need to. And yep, mine is the old ‘crouch over it and try to walk” kind.
i think she finds out tomorrow what she’ll be doing. I’m so proud of her and how far behind she’s left her Autism. Oh, it’s still there. I mean, she still starts to flap her hands if she’s super excited, but she catches herself and stops. She still self-calms by nibbling on whatever’s handy, and she has to arrange things in precise order. She still has hyperacusis. But SHE controls those things now, they don’t control her. And her friends are so used to it they don’t even notice anymore. She’s a wonder!
