PS. Debby, I know this is nuts, but you look a little squirrelly today.

Thanks, I saw that & was drooling all over myself.
How do you keep from drinking all the Guiness before it gets in the recipe?

That's the easy part for me, I don't really care for beer or ales. But man, they sure cook up nicely!
Give the recipe a try...it's only 1 bottle out of a carton. You can have the others for your drinking pleasure.![]()
I don't actually drink, but I used to enjoy the occasional Guiness, especially on cold, wet days like today. I imagine it would be excellent with chocolate.![]()
It pairs great with chocolate and coffee. So you're cold and wet today? What's cold for you guys this time of year?
Hi Jae, glad to hear you're getting more rain! How are the little birds doing?
Seriously, right now we are in the 50's during the day & the 40's at night plus a lot of rain. Last month we had much more fluctuation with it in the 70's during the day & the 40's at night.
I forgot how fast they grow. The older ones are almost all feathered except for their heads. It's crazy - the oldest aren't even quite 2 weeks old yet. Our one and only wild coloured one is a boy. And a few of the gold ones are looking boyish, but some need a few more chest feathers before I'm sure. With the whites and tuxedos/darks (of which there are 22 out of the 32 birds) I'll have to wait and see who crows. They've been having jumping competitions this morning. One jumped out the door the other day when I had it open, just because it was having fun leaping about with its siblings.
The very first one that hatched, a tuxedo, is the sweetest, friendliest little thing. It's a keeper even if it's a boy.
I've got a chocolate stout cake recipe somewhere and you're making me want to try baking it.
