i would trade if i could believe meI would love rain here!
It's cold at my end of the world this morning! And this gas fireplace isn't a patch on a woodburner. We are seriously considering (once we sell the caravan) just going ahead and replacing the gas with a woodburner as soon as possible. Because winter hasn't even begun yet.
My one chicken egg looks like it is trying to hatch. When I candled it yesterday (day 20) it still looked like it had heaps of space to fill, and this morning (technically still day 20 until 1pm) I was sure it was dead because it just didn't look right. But there was a bit of a shadow in the air cell and it suddenly moved and I can hear the clicking of its breathing. Yet there's still a little void in the egg that hasn't been filled, so my conclusion is that it is a weird egg! Then my thermometer gave me heart failure because it was reading really low and had zero for the humidity. The battery had run flat in it!
So, yeah, bit stressed this morning.
Hope you can warm up soon @drumstick diva .Enjoy your surprise too.
Good afternoon (?) to everyone and hope your days have been good ones.
The air cell during hatch is often open. The chick will eventually break into it though and then externally pipIt's cold at my end of the world this morning! That's cheap! I sold my tom for $50.a friend bought a bunch of turkey eggs at the auction last year and i tried to hatch them for her but i thought to myself that they wouldn't hatch, not only were they ice cold but filthy and probably who know how old, anyway, i was right, only two started and they both died way before due hatch, she would have been better off buying adults and getting her own eggs but she said she couldn't afford that, ten to twenty for a adult doesn't seem like a lot to me![]()
I might need to get a new printer too! My hp stopped accepting magenta print cartridges.I doubt the FedEx guy knocked or rang the doorbell. He came when I was up on the hill getting ready to cut some logs down to carrying size. Backed up from the road. When I came up to the house this is what I saw

He apparently got no farther than a few inches behind the truck.
And since this is a chicken forum, not a printer forum

The alpacas must have been in the barn because most of the chickens run from them.
