The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

not to bad im, went out to the greenhouse and cleaned a little, quit and made dinner, ate, did dishes , read byc's a little, now going out and try to start some more seeds in the greenhouse, and if time, more cleaning;)

What kind of seeds are you going to start Sharron?

Good morning, Folks. Have to wonder how many have had Covid and now may have immunity. Princess had a sick spell this winter/early spring, and daughter and her family were sick after SIL returned from a business trip to Europe. Me, I've been healthy. Hope that's a good thing. Things here in NJ are still not good with deaths above 10,000 and increasing by a couple hundred daily. Governor has started a gradual opening up. I predict a disaster at the NJ shore Memorial Day weekend - people just have no/little common sense.
The thought is between 9 and 20 percent. The percentage changes though.

I have read that there some that get it twice so immunity is possibly not complete or short lived.

It true, we may need to get yearly vaccines for covid-19

The way things mutate though, who knows what a vaccine you get this year will help in the future.

So anyway, how is your Saturday going Ron?

morning sour:frow
happy that your family seem to be healthy
i agree, common sense is almost gone, and it seems like the ones who don't have common sense out weigh the ones that do anymore
Common sense is uncommon! :old

started some more bell peppers, put more hot peppers seeds in and transplanted peppers and tomatoes, planted different kinds of zinnia seeds. still have a lot of plants to transplant, just ran out of energy so fed the chickens, moved the tractors to fresh grass and came in to sit down and get a drink

we both were sick in nov last fall, first him, then me, ( he likes to share with his momma) so i'm wondering if i had it too.
Highly unlikely that it was Covid 19 given it didn't show up in the US until January. I suspect your son was one of the many who got it and were asymptomatic. Of course that doesn't define what you both had in Nov if it wasn't the flu. Has testing gotten to the point where you could go see if you have antibodies?

BAD news! Some sailors on the USS Roosevelt who had Covid 19 and recovered, subsequently tested negative twice have now tested positive!

til then go back to the cane to help the weight on that leg
Heck, I thought you were going to tell him take the cane to the Drs office and use it to "suggest" that they see him soon ;)

Yeah but the ones with common sense won't be the ones going to the Jersey Shore so they'll be much safer.

Saturday is fine today! I finished the menu and weekly shopping. I did have to pick up feed for the quail and the hens. I put together a batch of mocha cookies and the dough balls are in the freezer getting hard for storage.

I bake the cookies from the frozen dough 4 at a time for us to share as snacks.

I hope we can get longer immunity from the vaccine but we do not know if it will be like the polio vaccine or more like an influenza vaccine.

Sounds like you've had a productive day! Have you shared the mocha cookie recipe on the Home Baker's thread? Those sound like something DH would like...we do love just about anything with a coffee flavor (or chocolate) :D

I popped down to the h.s. graduation party for a few minutes. It was nice to see some faces I haven't seen since last summer!

Yes! the mocha cappuccino drink mix is from costco but you should be able to use other brands

Tons of new members to greet - gets exhausting but, I am hard wired to answer them all. I don't get notices of new members. I check back several times a day and check 1-4 pages of new members to be sure I get them all. My mother taught us as little kids "NOT TO LEAVE ANYONE OUT!"

One person doesn't want my "likes," so I don't push it.
