One of my chickens laid an unusual colored egg today...to me anyway! Reminds me of a desert scene! It must be one of the newest layers...only 39g!

It is a very pretty egg!

Her pigment gland is not working 100% yet. The eggs will get better but not necessarily prettier

I'm not a bad hand in the wood shop.

You and my husband have similar talents! He built the cabinets in our first home...it was a remodel! He built the bathroom & laundry room cabinets in the house we are in now! We were too tired to tackle the kitchen cabinets as we were owner builders! It took us almost 3 years to build our house...but that saved us a lot of money! I'm assuming you built your home too! It's beautiful!

Thank you for that insight Ron! I figured it was because she isn't fully mature yet, but didn't know anymore details than that!
