That sounds easy! I'm going to try it and I'll let you know. This is one of my easiest (and a DH favorite) cookie recipes if you like peanut butter:
1 Cup peanut butter (either creamy or chunky)
1 Cup sugar
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Mix together, scoop and place on cookie sheet. Bake at 325* for about 14 minutes. Enjoy!
You can add in chocolate chips or top with a mini peanut butter cup or Hershey's Kiss, or add in whatever you like (maybe M&M's?).
Wow! So cool you've been able to travel, learning things here and there. Very interesting how every culture has their own way of doing things and using spices for different flavors.I've had the advantage of living around the world and learning different cooking techniques. more often than not, recipes don't tell you what technique is being used. For example: I was initially taught Sicilian, start with screaming hot olive oil, add garlic then add the rest of your aromatic's and herbs. But over time I've learned that I prefer the Tuscan approach. Start with a cold pan. Add olive oil, the aromatics and a little salt. Then turn on the fire to medium low and when the onions are translucent add the garlic. Different techniques yield different flavors.
When I lived in Germany, I loved family night. One week I would cook the next the chef. We traded many techniques as well as recipes. It was a really fun time. I actually taught the German Chef who studied in Paris how to cook Thai and Chinese.![]()
