The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

Just got home and ready to dash out again.

Ran to town to get Christmassy stuff. Now we're going to the golf course so DH can practice 9 holes AND I get to drive the golf cart! Yay, should be fun. This will be my first time driving one

I learned something yesterday...driving a golf cart is fun! And I didn't hit anything so everyone was safe. Beautiful day out yesterday for something like that. We got our tree up and lights on it. Sat around watched a Christmas movie, listened to Christmas music, drank egg nog. Great way to wrap up the weekend.

Happy Monday to you all!

Happy Monday to you too Debby!!

Sound like you had a fab day yesterday. Great going on not crashing the cart! :ya

Hi Kim!

What are you up to today? I need to spend some time messing with the chickens today, didn't get to do much of that yesterday.

Have you ever done a gingerbread house? I'm going to try one this year, want to make it look like a coop.

I too need to get some chicken jobs done  Need to hose my runs out and get the coops done too. I usually do them on a weekend but with the wind we have had I've not dared to let the birds out!! Does not take a lot to spook these pesky polish!! Not much wind today so will be a better day for cleaning. I've tried before to clean them out when they are in and you just get mobbed by them, so much easier when they are out of the way.

Have got most of my office work done already :D Started that early doors so it was done and dusted. Got some ironing to do too that I have been putting off but the basket is now overflowing. Hate getting the iron out :sick Need a kick up the backside to get it done!!

Going to do Harry horse after lunch amd get him in from the field, as the weather is better hoping to get him ridden :fl

Got some outdoor Christmas lights to put up as well, will wait until the other half is back for that though incase I fall off the ladder!!

I'm afraid baking is not really my thing so I have never made a gingerbread house. I have seen at the super market these ones that you can buy (already pre built) and you get all the decoration things with it so you can decorate it a home. That's more my cup of T when I comes to baking!!

Hope you will post some pics when you have made it?

NFC be careful around water hazards, look out for gators

We were safe DD...the little local course only has sand traps. No gators! Unless you count Florida Gator team fans, plenty of those to go around (and I hear they can take a mean bite).

Instead of baking the house part, I bought a kit. The gingerbread pieces are already baked, I just have to put them together and decorate. Sort of a cheater's gingerbread house but that's close enough for me, the decorating is the fun part anyway. I'll save my baking for cookies! And bread, make a lot of bread (DH is a bread-aholic).
