The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

Blooie, here are a few of my Big Sky Montana bears:

A good friend gave me this one after my sister died.

Mom gave me the mother & cubs in a fir tree (she said it reminded her of me & the boys).
The one with the cubs going after the honey in a hollow tree was from a special place I used to go to in KS City.

Hey, who do we have here? Your moose and one of my bears!

Pardon my dust!
Those bears are too cute, love the bottom one reading to the moose

My only a couple of days and so much to catch up on this thread :)

Where have you been my friend? Don't let work interfere with fun!

How's your gb house/coop coming along? DH & I had a lot of fun last night decorating ours. There's still a lot to do to it but it's coming along. I need to make up some more royal icing, maybe pick up a couple more things for the decorating. I can't believe nether one of us has done this before, we were missing out!

Glad you enjoyed the bears. I have a few more but no pictures of them yet.

Been quite busy at work and finding time to get Christmas decorations out and lighted. Actually DH does the real work there, but I have to advise on placement :)

- but will get started on the gb house this weekend. Yours is coming along nicely.

Did you get your tree up with all the chicken ornaments? You have some really nice ones

Thanks for the gb compliment. I was kind of surprised (pleasantly) to see it still standing this morning and all the stuff still stuck on. I'll share a picture when it's done. Can't wait to see yours!

Yep, got the chicken tree decorated last weekend, will post pic this evening.

You have craft talent, may have to hold off to see yours and copy it

Just kidding.

Yay, looking forward to seeing the chicken tree!

Trust me, I'm not worried about anyone copying my gb coop, lol!

Those Big Sky bears are so cute!

Waiting for the final gingerbread houses and the chicken Christmas tree. Ken said he'll run down to the storage unit today and bring home the things I want. Um, different storage unit than the one that was broken into, believe me. Couldn't get our stuff out of that one fast enough.

Katie and Kendra saw Santa the other day at Cowley's annual Christmas tree lighting. Kendra wasn't impressed. She's 4 years old and still hates Santa. She really doesn't "get" Christmas at all - doesn't care about most of it, although birthdays have taught her about opening presents. Katie and Evan are beyond the Santa thing.....Gramma is not.

Hi Blooie!

The "Santa thing" is one of the best parts of having kids around I think. My boys always got a little Santa gift under the tree. When I caught my oldest one trying to tell the youngest Santa wasn't real, I told them once they quit believing in Santa, he wouldn't leave them a present any more. No more was said about Santa not being real, lol!

That was so wonderful you were able to get another moose nativity set. Crazy the things some people will steal.
