Debby, my mother was a huge quilter, I picked up a very small portion of her talent. She won awards, had articles in magazines, etc. She left her Bernina to me when she died, that thing sews like a dream.
This first one I made is normally on my bed. The green is flannel backing I used, its heavy and warm. I think this was my first large bed sized one, so its not great work, but it serves its purpose lol!
The second is one I made for our bed at our camp. Tried my hand at appliqué. I also made the headboard from trees on the property! :)
I have several of Mom's unfinished projects that I hope to finish some day too.

Well done WV! Love the colors in both of them. Nothing better on a chilly night than a quilt. I'd say you got more than just a small bit of your mother's talent.
