Not to put a damper on Kim's birthday fun but I wanted to tell you all that my flock was re-homed last night. My morning doesn't feel right. I'll need to clean out the coop but that can wait a bit, I'm not ready to go in there yet.

Have any of you had to get rid of your chickens?

That must be a downer - never had to do it, but had to half expect it for the most of last year, as DW wanted to rent our house out (4 bedrooms and two peeps is a bit too much). It wont be the same, but maybe get a couple of frozen chickens n keep them in the freezer - you can open the door every day, just like you would normally?
