Got one with freezer on bottom and fridge above - my preference. In an ideal world, getting stuff fresh is best - not necessarily workable for us all. My parents had a meat freezer and digging through all the frozen stuff was a nightmare - so much wasted.

Yours look bigger then mine Sunflour. If I had more space to work with I would have gotten a bigger one. I think I would like the French one...we have a meat freezer also Chris...pain in the butt as I'm short and it's an OLD one so its huge.

Here's mine - I never had but a few problems with the door widths - but have another regular fridge for big items in my garage :) It is pulled out from the wall and there has been some minor damage to the floor making it difficult to push all the way back into the slot - so have left it there until we decide to fix or replace it. We call these "side by side" , the French doors have 2 doors that open into one really big space on top and pull out drawer or drawers in the bottom for freezer and other great stuff :) We had a plumber put in a new water line and cut off valve last week thinking it was the problem. But once connected to the fridge the leak was obviously inside :(
Then get a replacement ice maker. I did that with my old frigerator. A brand new ice maker only cost me fifty bucks and a hundred bucks to have a friend put it in. Since the average new refrigerators runs about two thousand + for decent model, I thought a hundred fifty was a good deal.

That's my dream frigerator. Everytime I'm in Lowe's, I look at them and dream. :)

Not at the prices we pay here - i assure you! All cars and electrical stuff costs twice the price compared to the west

Thanks for fridge input.

Found a model I would love to have, but would have to butter the sides to fit it in

@DigMyChicks Mine is 23.5 cubic feet total = equivalent to the newer ones claiming 30 cu feet. It's 35.75 inches wide , but the one i have found that is awesome is 36 inches wide and leaves no wiggle room to be able to use it :( Check out the new Whirlpool with infinity shelves, sliding shelves

. It does have in door ice maker, but a second in the freezer, so if one breaks, you still have another. LOL

Several years ago I had a French door fridge with the freezer at the bottom....LOVED it! Unfortunately, the ex is probably enjoying it now.

The new Whirlpool sounds great! Get what you really want, you'll be living with it for a long time.

Good Morning,
