Thanks! I'm so excited...my mind is just reeling with possibilities for using music something she already understands and loves, as the key to helping her to learn the art of conversation!!

That video is soooo darling. I forgot... how old is she?
Teaching with music, I am reminded of an old Happy Days episode where they were learning the bones of the body, and made a song of it. I'm sure some of you old fogies like me might remember it.
Edit - not bones, circulatory system. Pump Your Blood. LOL

Kendra is 5 years old. She's mostly non-verbal at this point, but I have a feeling that's about to change! The instrument she loves to play is her guitar, Sunflour. Lots of pics of her with her guitar! Think it's gonna sound like an opera around here with us singing questions to her and having her sing the answers, but whatever it takes! What a wonderful little teacher she is!
By the way, October is Spina Bifida awareness month! Goodness knows I do my part to help folks understand SB and what it means for the kids and the families. @Cynthia12 has an adult son with it, and Richard is amazing!! God forgot to tell him and Kendra that they're "disabled" and we ain't gonna tell them either!! She was instrumental in starting SB awareness, and even pushed for the studies that linked Folic Acid to preventing Spina Bifida! When I grow up, I want to be just like her!!
Don't be silly! I only accept apologies for real problems, and not remembering zylophone or guitar ain't one of them!Sorry, knew she could play an instrument, but couldn't remember which![]()
