The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

Somehow all this talk about music and speech problems got me remembering a story told by Mel Tillis, a country singer with a well-known stuttering problem. Many years ago, he and some other musicians had all bunked down for the night in the same hotel room. He awoke during the night, and heard the sounds of somebody fumbling around near the window. As you can imagine, he was a bit alarmed. He tried, but he just couldn't say anything, so he sang, "Guys, there's somebody trying to break in." (or something like that) Turned out it was another singer who was coming back drunk and couldn't find his door key.

Yup, yup and yup!

Edited to add: Or write.....that's what my dad did - encouraged me to write my thoughts down because he said what I had to say was more important that how I said it, and he promised to read every word. And he did!

Good morning!

I've already shared the antelope around the golf course, here are a few pictures of the other animals that hang out there:

Deer in the backyard between the pro shop and the park:

Young porcupine:

(That's a straw next to him, he's fairly small...about as big around as a volley ball.)
